A woman’s hands, stained working with spices. She recounts how being able to get a very affordable loan to buy a small plot of land and sell what she and her group grow, enables them to retain a larger share of the profits, paying the loan off quicker and buying more land.

A gecko, in a flurry of wings, pauses before striking. Village life is being close to the land and the wildlife - be that harmless geckos, to the not-so-harmless cobra - an animal that strikes a real and present fear in the locals, due to the close proximity on a day to day basis, (indeed, as I was walking a rice field one evening, the unmistakable grey form of a cobra passed no more than 6 feet from me!).

A man sleeps at the local hospital, under shade, waiting for his time to see the doctor. This hospital - quite modern in comparison - is one of the very few to cater for those with no money.
